มีลักษณะเป็นไม้ยืนต้นขนาดใหญ่ ใบอ่อนสีชมพู ใบแก่สีเขียวเข้ม ดอกสีขาว กลิ่นหอมแรง ผลกลมแข็ง พบในอินเดีย ศรีลังกา และเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ รวมถึงไทย
A large evergreen tree. The young leaves are reddish, while the mature leaves turn dark green. It bears white, thick-petaled, highly fragrant flowers and produces round woody fruits. The species is mostly found in India, Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia, including Thailand.
