กันเกรา | Perfume Tree or Ironwood
(Fagraea fragrans Roxb.)
ไม้ยืนต้นขนาดกลางถึงใหญ่ สูง 15–30 เมตร เรือนยอดทรงพุ่มทึบ แผ่กว้าง เปลือกต้นหนาสีเทาแตกเป็นร่องลึก ใบเดี่ยวเรียงตรงข้าม รูปรีแกมขอบขนาน ขนาด 6–15 ซม. ปลายใบแหลม โคนใบมนหรือสอบ ดอกออกเป็นช่อกระจุกตามปลายกิ่ง ดอกสีขาวครีม มีกลิ่นหอมแรงโดยเฉพาะในเวลากลางคืน ต่อมาเปลี่ยนเป็นสีเหลืองส้ม ผลกลมรี เมื่อสุกสีส้มแดง ภายในมีเมล็ดเล็กจำนวนมาก พบตามป่าดิบแล้ง ป่าเบญจพรรณ และป่าดิบชื้นในภาคเหนือ ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ภาคกลาง และภาคใต้ของประเทศไทย รวมทั้งในลาว เวียดนาม มาเลเซีย และอินโดนีเซีย
A medium to large evergreen tree, 15–30 m tall, with a dense, rounded crown. Bark is thick, grayish, and deeply fissured. Leaves are opposite, simple, oblong-lanceolate, 6–15 cm long, apex acute, base rounded to tapering. Flowers are borne in terminal clusters, creamy white, strongly fragrant (especially at night), turning yellow to orange with age. Fruits are ovoid berries, ripening orange-red, containing numerous small seeds.

ในวัฒนธรรมไทย ถือเป็นไม้มงคล เชื่อว่าปลูกแล้วทำให้เจริญรุ่งเรือง อายุยืนยาว
เนื้อไม้บางส่วนใช้แกะสลัก งานฝีมือ และทำเครื่องดนตรี
