ไม้ยืนต้นขนาดกลางถึงใหญ่ สูงประมาณ 15–25 เมตร ใบประกอบแบบขนนก ดอกเล็กสีขาวถึงชมพู ออกเป็นช่อ ผลเป็นฝักแบนยาว 5–7 ซม. พบในป่าดิบแล้ง ป่าเบญจพรรณ ป่าดิบเขาของไทย ลาว และเมียนมา
Medium to large deciduous tree, 15–25 m tall, with a straight bole and spreading crown. Leaves pinnately compound. Flowers small, white to pink, arranged in clusters. Fruits are flat pods, 5–7 cm long, containing several seeds. Grows in dry evergreen, mixed deciduous, and montane forests across Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.
