ไม้ยืนต้นขนาดกลางถึงใหญ่ สูง 10–25 เมตร เปลือกเรียบถึงแตกเป็นร่องเล็กน้อย ใบประกอบแบบขนนก ดอกสีขาวหรือขาวอมม่วง ออกเป็นช่อเล็กตามซอกใบ ผลเป็นฝักแบนมีเมล็ดแข็งด้านใน พบในเอเชียเขตร้อน ได้แก่ ไทย ลาว กัมพูชา อินเดีย และเมียนมา ขึ้นในป่าเบญจพรรณและป่าดิบแล้ง
A medium to large tree, 10–25 m tall, with smooth to slightly fissured bark. Leaves pinnately compound. Flowers white or whitish-purple, borne in small clusters in leaf axils. Fruits are flat pods containing hard seeds. Distributed across tropical Asia, including Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, India and Myanmar. Typically found in mixed deciduous and dry evergreen forests.
