(Bauhinia purpurea L.)
ไม้ยืนต้นขนาดกลาง สูง 5–10 เมตร ใบแผ่กว้างปลายเว้าลึกคล้ายกีบวัว ดอกสีม่วงสดหรือม่วงอมชมพู ออกดอกมากในฤดูหนาว บทั่วไปในป่าเบญจพรรณและพื้นที่ราบต่ำของเอเชียเขตร้อน เช่น ไทย เมียนมา อินเดีย ศรีลังกา
Medium-sized deciduous tree, 5–10 m tall. Leaves are bilobed, resembling a camel’s foot. Flowers are purple to pinkish-purple, blooming profusely in winter. Commonly found in mixed deciduous forests and lowland areas of tropical Asia, including Thailand, Myanmar, India and Sri Lanka.
