ไม้ยืนต้นขนาดกลางถึงใหญ่ สูง 10–20 เมตร เปลือกเรียบถึงหยาบ ใบประกอบแบบขนนก 1–2 ชั้น ดอกสีม่วงอ่อนหรือสีขาวอมม่วง ออกเป็นช่อกระจุกตามปลายกิ่ง ผลเป็นฝักยาว มีเมล็ดแข็งด้านใน พบในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ได้แก่ ไทย ลาว และเวียดนาม มักขึ้นในป่าเบญจพรรณและป่าดิบแล้ง
A medium to large tree, 10–20 m tall, with smooth to slightly rough bark. Leaves pinnately compound, with 1–2 pairs of leaflets. Flowers pale purple to whitish-purple, borne in terminal clusters. Fruits are long pods containing hard seeds. Native to Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. Typically found in mixed deciduous and dry evergreen forests.
