อินทนิลน้ำ | Queen’s Crape Myrtle

ไม้ยืนต้นผลัดใบ สูงได้ถึง 20 เมตร ลำต้นเปลาตรง เปลือกสีน้ำตาลแตกเป็นร่อง ใบเดี่ยวเรียงตรงข้าม ดอกสีม่วงอมชมพูขนาดใหญ่ ออกเป็นช่อ ผลกลม พบทั่วไปในป่าเบญจพรรณ ป่าดิบแล้ง และป่าโปร่งของเอเชียเขตร้อน โดยเฉพาะในไทย อินเดีย ศรีลังกา เมียนมา และฟิลิปปินส์
A deciduous tree growing up to 20 m tall, with a straight bole and brown, fissured bark. Leaves are opposite, simple, and large. Flowers are bright purple-pink, borne in showy panicles. Commonly found in mixed deciduous forests, dry evergreen forests, and open woodlands across tropical Asia, especially in Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and the Philippines.
