มีลักษณะเป็นไม้พุ่มหรือไม้ต้นขนาดเล็ก ลำต้นตรง เปลือกเรียบสีเทาหรืออมแดง พบในป่าเบญจพรรณทั่วไปของเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้รวมถึงประเทศไทย
A small to medium-sized shrub or tree. Simple, alternate leaves with finely serrated margins. Small greenish flowers. Small round fruits turning red or black when ripe. Commonly found in mixed deciduous forest in South East Asia including Thailand.
